I received one of these lovely wax pottery bowls as a gift in May, the forest fig scent. It is truly lovely and unique and I placed it in a powder room. It was not overpowering, but within 4 months the scent had faded to barely perceptible. I used a paper towel to buff the rim and outside. That increased the fragrance, but only temporarily. Now, 6 months since opening the package, I used a very fine grit sandpaper to buff it again, but that left scratches in the wax and no increase in scent. Lasts 6 months, not a year as stated in the description.
